The latest album from TV On the Radio, Nine Types of Light, is most definitely their best collection to-date. I never thought this group needed maturing, but this album showed that they did. It’s a real maturation of their sound. The songwriting is leaps and bounds ahead of previous releases, and it’s more cohesive than their other work. Buy, or otherwise acquire, this album now.

Ed Helms is hilarious.

That could be the full post, only it gets WAY better.

Last night on the Tonight Show, Helms made a surprise appearance and in a show of solidarity with Conan O’Brien, played a song. He reprised “Stu’s Song” from the hit comedy The Hangover. Watch it here in all its glory:

Jack White is a busy guy. He has the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, and now the Dead Weather. His relationship with Conan O’Brien goes back some time. The White Stripes did a week long residency on Late Night with Conan O’Brien when their last album, Icky Thump, came out. Jack and Meg also performed on the final episode of Late Night.

So it comes as no surprise that White’s new band, the Dead Weather, would make their network television debut on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Which they did on Thursday of last week. They performed their single “Hang You From The Heavens” from their album Horehound.
