When University of Michigan football recruit Logan Tuley-Tillman posted the above picture on his Twitter feed he sparked a fire that burned more than just a piece of paper. The Buckeyes didn’t take too kindly to the perceived disrespect, and the Wolverines rallied around a player that is bringing back some nastiness to a program that is in dire need of just that.

My dad is a Michigan man, so I was raised a fan of the program, and I still am. I love this, and I can’t wait for Tuley-Tillman to quiet the Buckeyes, who apparently forgot he was good enough for them, until this small fire, by berating the young man with slanderous and threatening tweets and more.

92 days until college football.

I can’t stop listening to this song! It’s Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros with out all the annoying jam band bs. That’s how I describe the album.

Is “Little Talks” this summer’s “Home”? Give it a listen below.

Japandroids are one of my absolute favorite bands right now, and their sophomore effort, Celebration Rock, is helping to solidify that opinion. The album is a more concise collection than their debut album while still harboring the same frantic energy and lyrical wit. The two-piece features heavily fuzzed guitar sounds and manic drumming that set them apart from other two-piece bands. This is not a blues band like the White Stripes or the Black Keys; no, this is a rock duo, and they will melt your face. Or at least make you convulse to the beat (some may call it dancing).

Check out “The House That Heaven Built,” below. This song was also recently released as a limited edition 7″ on clear vinyl via Polyvinyl Records.

Celebration Rock is set to be released June 5, and is available for pre-order now from Polyvinyl and Amazon.

Dear Rush Limbaugh,

The President is not waging a war on traditional marriage. In fact, there is no war on traditional marriage. The war, sir, is on inequality. “[A]ll men are created equal,” is a line from the Constitution of the United States of America. Because we are all created equal, we should also be treated equally under the law. And, in fact, that is stipulated in the Fourteenth Amendment to the same Constitution: “no state shall … deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

I don’t know about you, Mr. Limbaugh, but I view marriage laws as “laws.” And I view bans on gay marriage as a specific afront to the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. No, there is no war on traditional marriage. There is, however, a war on the Constitution, and people like you are leading the charge.

Also, how dare you say there is a war on traditional marriage when you, sir, have had four different wives. That’s four promises before God and the law that you will remain married for the rest of your life. Three times you have broken that promise. If there is a war on traditional marriage, Mr. Limbaugh, you again are leading the charge. You have thrice violated the pact of marriage, the pact you made with your partners and with God.

But I can see how you would think letting loving same-sex couples would completely ruin the sanctity of marriage. I can see how allowing loving same-sex couples the same rights under the law, guaranteed in the Fourteenth Amendment, would ruin the sanctity of marriage. I can see how you might think these things. You are, however, incredibly wrong in your thoughts.

Thankfully the movie is way better than this song. Still, it’s good to see Soundgarden back together and making new music. Find showtimes for Marvel’s The Avengers at Fandango.com.

For the record, The Avengers is ridiculously good. Well written, amazing action, and Scarlett Johansson in a skin tight suit. What more could a guy ask for in a movie?

Silversun Pickups will release their third album, Neck of the Woods, on May 8. The band is streaming the album in full via MTV Buzzworthy, and as far as I can tell it’s another amazing collection of fuzzy, alt-rock with Brian Aubert’s trademark cryptic lyrics. I’m definitely excited to get this onto my iPhone so I can rock it while I run.
