Wavves was recently in town to open for Best Coast at Urban Lounge. In my opinion, Wavves stole the show. The above video illustrates just how much weed these guys smoke. Which is to say: a lot. It’s like Pineapple Express with out all the action.

Coachella is only 46 Days away. Are you getting excited yet? I sure am. To pass the time, here is a video from each of three artists performing at this year’s sold out Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to get your fix until then.
Gypsy and the Cat is an electro-pop duo formed of two Australian DJs. Now based in London, the duo released their debut album, Gilgamesh in November of last year. They will take the stage in Indio, California on Day One, April 15th.
Francis and the Lights is the stage name of Francis Farewell Starlite. His debut album, It’ll Be Better mixes indie rock, jazz and soul in such an earnest way it is difficult not to be sucked in. He is definitely on my list of must-see performances; he’ll play on Day Two, April 16th.
Green Velvet is an electro-house DJ and singer from Chicago. He will perform on Day Three, April 17th.

Glasser is Cameron Mesirow, and it is not easy finding information on the artist. Her mother was in the new wave group Human Sexual Response. According to Pitchfork, Mesirow uses “heavy breaths, tribal percussion, children’s lullabies, ambient clouds, and ghostly echoes” to create her ambient indie sound. She will take the stage on Day One, April 15th.
Foals is an indie, math rock band from Oxford, England. They recently won Best Track at the NME Shockwave awards for “Spanish Sahara,” from the band’s sophomore album, Total Life Forever. Foals will rock the house on Day Two, April 16th.
Gord Downie is the lead singer of bluesy alt-rock group the Tragically Hip. He released his third solo album, the Grand Bounce, last year. He will play on Day Three, April 17th.
