I first read about the BlackBerry Thunder about a month ago, and immediately fell in love with the concept. A touch BlackBerry? Yes, please. I have never kept it a secret that I really don’t like my Moto Q. No, I despise my Moto Q. I’ve just been waiting for Verizon to get a phone good enough for me to make the plunge into a new phone.
I believe it’s here.
The release date is still a little up in the air, there’s plenty of speculation, but not hard dates from VZW.
But that’s besides the point. The point I’m getting at is that pictures of the new BlackBerry 9500 “Thunder” have leaked. Check ‘em out after the jump.
The first set of photos leaked on BlackBerrySYNC.com:

These photos show the media player. There are rumors that it will have a media store comparable to iTunes as well. RIM has said that it will have the ability to easily transfer media from iTunes on your desktop or laptop to the phone.

This appears to be the video player.
The other set of pics that leaked on MobileGuerilla show the phone in a message mode, with the two orientations of the keyboard:

Qwerty.

And Suretype.
When this thing comes out (exclusively on Verizon) I’m going to definitely salivate over it. I’m going to get either this phone (more than likely) or the Curve. I’ve never used a BlackBerry, and everyone that I know that has one swears by them. So I’m going to leave the Q in the dust and do this thing.
I’m waiting in eager anticipation for the arrival of the Thunder 9500.
Does that make me a nerd?
