The littlest things can piss us off. Like when your boyfriend doesn’t put the seat down, or your neighbor stores their garbage can on your side of the property line.
I’m no exception to the pet peeve. I have had some doozies over time. This one has been grating on me lately as it seems that it is becoming more common, and thusly ticking me off more often. Please, do me a favor and fix this grammatical error forthwith. Save my sanity, and save your life.

 One of the clients we have here at 101.9 The End is Sunglasses Only. They’re a pretty killer local sunglasses dealer. They have custom sunglasses for most of the staff here at The End. Including the Parkers, the Chungas, the Corts, and as of today there exists a custom pair of Grant Ruby sunglasses.

So, last night I did a remote at Castle of Chaos. It’s one of the biggest haunted houses in Utah. With three separate haunts varying in scare level, they can please everyone from little kids, to the most rabid scare fan. Unfortunately, the timing of this blog isn’t very good. This is the final weekend of the Spring Scare, but they’ll be back with even more frightening displays in the fall, and they have their murder mystery events going May through July.
When I showed up at Castle of Chaos yesterday, I was really looking forward to checking out the scary scene. The commercial they’d been running on The End mentions they have a haunted house where you actually have to sign a waiver to go in. That was the one I wanted to do, and I would.

So last night the Redhead remembers that taxes are due today. Holy crap!
I did my Federal taxes a long time ago, they’re just so damned easy to do. Especially nowadays when you can e-file for free. Check out TurboTax.com for one of the leading free e-file services. It’s the one I’ve used the last couple years, and no, unfortunately the did not pay me to say that. (Hear that TurboTax?)
So, in the interest of helping you out with your last minute tax filing duties, I’ve compiled some links for you. Check them out after the jump.
First of all, let’s do some links for your Federal taxes. Like I said, TurboTax is a free service to e-file your taxes, but if you want to do it by hand, on a sheet of paper, and mail it in, then you want to go to IRS.gov or visit the Fed’s official forms site.
So, with the Feds out of the way, we’ll focus on the state taxes that you may have to pay. In Utah there’s a state income tax like there is in Arizona (we’ll get to that in a sec). I didn’t have to file in Utah because the short time that was here in 2007 didn’t earn me enough money to get over that barrier. I probably could, and might even get a couple bucks back, but I’m not gonna worry about it. You can find all the Utah State Tax forms at tax.utah.gov.
And since I have a lot of friends that are still in Arizona, and also because I had to file in Arizona, I’ll give you access to their forms, too. Arizona has a lot of forms to choose from, so make sure you’re getting the right one at revenue.state.az.us.
So, like I said, I already did my Fed taxes and got my return weeks (maybe months) ago. Now I have to mail off my Arizona taxes and get my money!

My sister had her 2nd child today, another daughter. Her name is Cassandra. I love being an uncle, ’cause I can spoil those kids retarded and then give ‘em right back to mommy and daddy and never have to worry about a thing.
I always make sure to change at least one diaper, too. That way, when they get a little older and try to give me lip I can say, “I used to change your diapers!” and put ‘em in line.

I won’t get to meet the new addition until my brother’s wedding in June, and I’m super excited.

Allison Sudol, aka A Fine Frenzy, is at the Avalon tonight. First time venturing into this venue, and it’s kind of strange. The place is one large open room, slanting up to the back almost stadium style. The strange part is that they have these benches through the whole place. Almost like church pews, but more like a park bench with no back to it. Craziness.
The crowd seems to be really into the show, which is always good. She did a Death Cab cover at the station today and I’m looking forward to hearing it as a full arrangement and seeing the crowd’s reaction.
Update: The show was pretty good. Sudol’s voice is amazing. The Death Cab cover was almost ridiculous, and she also did the Beatles’ “Across the Universe” which was equally good. If you’re interested in checking out A Fine Frenzy, and you should be, it’s available on iTunes and Amazon.
